My career path has afforded me various opportunities to serve students and coach staff in the education industry, including English, Writing, Humanities, and African American Literature Teacher to high school students. Currently, I serve as a College Adjunct Professor for several colleges and universities as an English teacher and Student Teacher Supervisor. I am one of the founders of two high school schools in Chicago and currently serve as the Regional Vice President for four high schools serving at-risk youth.
I hold certifications as an English Teacher, Building Principal for Illinois, and Personal Fitness Trainer.
I hold a Bachelor’s in English/Secondary Education, a Master’s in English Literature, a Master’s in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for Chicago State University Alumni Association.
My husband, Brian, and I have been married for seven years. We enjoy the fitness industry together as competitors, fans, and business owners of Chitown Mecca Personal Training. Jake (short for Jacob) is our 13-year-old Shih Tzu. In my spare time, I enjoy mystery movies and reading. I am the founder of the Literary Ladies Book Club, where I enjoy the fellowship of other ladies as we indulge in novels, short stories, movies, plays, and self-care.
Most important, I am a member of the Church of Christ.
